Managing XML: serving HTML one the fly

• The DOM API in MSXML4 provides the textual representation of any element node in its XML property. When displaying the output of an XSLT transformation, this will be just the XHTML document ready for display.
• All that is needed is then the DOM of the transformed element. It can be stored in a data with scope containing the MSIE and CWS components, for instance a variable in the Form object containing the two pages (one for display, the other for CWS)
• Define the OnGetRequest on the CWS component:

  Response.String = oDOM.XML

• There is no need for additional complexity: since the server instance is dedicated to the form, there is nothing to parse from the request.
• To activate rendering, build the dynamic URL for it. It will look like: http://localhost:81/ (if the port number chosen earlier is 81)
• Launch MSIE on that URL:

  url = "http://localhost:81"
  MSIE.Navigate (url)

• In the Paradox form, MSIE now displays the HTML coming out from CWS, which gets it from the XSLT transformation of the original XML document.
